Throughout that greeting one person had been conspicuously absent, absent as one by one each member of the Tr'Hara house had approached the adoptive father and son duo and exchanged words with them before letting them on past. Talked with them as they'd entered the homely compound of houses, barns and animal corrals and headed to their house.
That person had been Tha'ron and he most certainly had a reason, a damned good one if he'd said so himself for not being there to meet them there. What was that reason you might have asked? Oh, that reason was simply that he was technically not meant to be home yet. He'd technically, if he'd followed the standard track and not excelled at the last part of his cadet circuit, had another two days before he'd have reunited with his father. *
*Something which had of course made the surprised response he'd garnered when he'd arrived home and knocked on the door to his grandparents house quite justified as responses went at the time. Surprise having given over to hugging and a good number of kisses, ugh and then this. A proposed and readily accepted plan he had, a moment ago, actioned. Or well, at least sorted out his part of. A hiding place having been entered into within his fathers house, one his mother helped make tidy enough to pass inspection, before the rest of the family had departed to greet his father and step sib. Greet them and coax them to his house.
